Content policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
Anyone can sell legal digital products and physical goods on Synq. This policy covers what you can sell, and the extra rules for products that show real people, such as swimwear, fashion, fitness or model photos. By selling on Synq you agree to follow it. If you break it, we can remove products, pause your store and close your account.
1. Photos and videos of people: what's allowed
You can sell photos, photo sets and videos of adults in swimwear, fashion, fitness and similar content at the level of mainstream social media (what Instagram allows on a public profile), as long as everyone shown agreed to it.
2. What's never allowed
- Anyone under 18 in swimwear, underwear, or anything sexual or suggestive, in any form. This includes content where a person looks under 18 or is described as under 18.
- Nudity, see-through clothing that shows nudity, sexual acts or sexually explicit poses.
- "Custom", "exclusive" or "on request" sexual content, and offers of meetings, companionship or sexual services, in the product or in messages.
- Photos or videos of anyone who didn't agree in writing to them being sold. This includes ex-partners, hidden-camera or "candid" shots, and screenshots of someone else's account.
- Fake or edited images of a real person (including AI-generated "deepfakes") without that person's written consent.
- Photos you didn't take or don't have the right to sell.
- Anything else that is illegal in Sri Lanka, and scams or misleading products.
3. What sellers must do for every person shown
When a product shows real people, you must tick the box in the product editor confirming the points below. You are responsible for them, and we may ask you to prove them at any time.
- Check their age. See a government ID (NIC, passport or driving licence) showing they are 18 or older when the photos were taken.
- Get written consent (a model release) from each person, signed and dated, with their full name and date of birth. It must name the photos or set and say they agree to them being sold on Synq, and state any payment or revenue share agreed.
- Keep these records for as long as the product is for sale and for 3 years after. Send them to us within 2 working days if we ask. Store them securely; they contain personal data.
- Respect withdrawal. If a person asks to stop future sales, take the product down (or ask us to) promptly.
4. Buyers of photo and video products
A purchase gives you a personal licence to view the content. You may not repost, share, resell, edit, or use it to train or prompt AI, and you may not use it to contact, identify or harass the people shown. Breaking this can be a crime and lets us close your account.
5. Reporting a product
Every product page has a Report this product link. You don't need an account. You can also email safety@synqtogether.store. Tell us the product link and what's wrong.
- If a report says someone shown may be under 18 or didn't consent, the product is hidden straight away while we check.
- Other reports are reviewed while the product stays up.
- We aim to decide within 2 working days and tell the reporter (if they left an email) and the seller.
- Reports don't reveal who reported. We only use reporters' details to handle the report (see the privacy policy).
6. If it's you in the photos
If you're shown in a product and didn't agree, or want to withdraw your consent, report the product (choose "It's me⦠and I didn't agree") or email safety@synqtogether.store. We'll hide it while we check, and we won't share your details with the seller without your agreement. We can't recall copies that buyers already downloaded, but buyers aren't allowed to share them and we'll act on any reposting we're told about.
7. What we do when rules are broken
- Remove the product for good (it can't be republished).
- Require the seller to refund buyers of affected orders (sellers collect payments directly, so refunds come from them), and pause the store while we investigate.
- Suspend or close the seller's account.
- Suspected child sexual abuse material is reported to the Sri Lanka Police and the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA, hotline 1929), and we keep the evidence as the law requires. We cooperate with lawful requests from the authorities.
Sellers can ask us to review a decision by emailing safety@synqtogether.store within 14 days. Products removed for a minor or for no consent are not restored without proof of age and a valid signed release.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. We'll tell sellers about important changes by email before they apply.
